2023 Canoo Lifestyle Vehicle Available For Pre-Order

Canoo’s sleek, futuristic lifestyle vehicle is available for pre-order with a $100 deposit. It’s part of a larger family of EVs the company plans to release in 2023.

In March, Canoo also announced an electric pickup truck and a delivery van. The latter will be optimized for last mile delivery and feature a cargo space that can be divided.

Canoo, the EV startup that has yet to hit production, is hoping to get off the ground with a new van and pickup truck that are both based on its scalable skateboard platform. It’s now accepting reservations for the Lifestyle Vehicle, with a $100 deposit securing a spot in line to receive one when they’re available.

Canoo isn’t revealing pricing yet, but it did confirm that the base model will start at $34,750 before any discounts or optional equipment. It’s set to come in four trim levels, ranging from Delivery up to the Adventure with roof rack and increased ground clearance. The company also plans to offer a multi-purpose version of its electric van that can double as a commercial workhorse.

That will be able to carry up to 4,500 pounds and feature a 6.2-foot bed, but its interior space isn’t as large as the Lifestyle Vehicle. The latter, which the company calls a “loft on wheels,” can accommodate up to seven people and has 188 cubic feet of interior volume.

Both of Canoo’s upcoming vehicles will use its bespoke battery and motor system, which it claims will allow them to achieve 200 miles per charge with quick charging. The company is taking orders for its LV now, and deliveries will begin in 2022. It’s planning to ramp up production in 2023 when it will start taking orders for its pickup and the multi-purpose EV that’s designed for commercial customers.

The pickup truck isn’t slated to be ready until sometime in 2023, but the company did confirm that it’s currently receiving substantial customer orders. It’s most famous for the order of 4,500 vans it placed with Walmart last year, but it also has commitments from fleet rental agency Zeeba and construction vehicle rental service KingBee for 3,000 and 9,000 units respectively. Canoo hasn’t said if those orders will help it reach scaled production at its Oklahoma plant. The startup still has a very tight financial runway to get there, however, with just $36.6 million in cash and equivalents. It’ll need to make some smart decisions if it hopes to continue to survive.

Number of Seats

The 2023 Canoo Lifestyle Vehicle is a large electric van with two seats in the front and plenty of space in the back. It can be customized with a variety of accessories and features. For example, it has a fold-out work table built into the frunk and power outlets inside the bed. It also has a cargo door that can be opened with a remote control or by pushing a button on the keychain. This makes the van perfect for working or entertaining on the go.

Canoo’s first EV is the Lifestyle Vehicle, a minivan with an all-electric drivetrain and a maximum battery range of 250 miles. It’s available to preorder now with a $100 deposit and will start shipping in 2022. The company’s second EV is the Multi-Purpose Delivery Vehicle (MPDV), which is designed for commercial customers and will be available to order soon.

The MPDV will be able to carry up to 1,800 pounds, making it an ideal choice for food delivery and other fleet vehicles. The company is currently testing the vehicle with a few major companies, and plans to roll it out in 2023.

One of the coolest things about the Canoo is that it has a lower windshield located underneath the main windshield, which eliminates many blind spots and improves driver visibility. This feature is particularly useful when driving on busy roads. Canoo’s SUV version also has a similar design, and both of these cars are excellent choices for commuters looking to cut their carbon footprint.

There are three different trims for the Canoo: Base, Premium, and Adventure. The Base is the most basic model and costs $34,750. The Premium trim adds a panoramic glass roof and a street-view window, and the Adventure has a dark green color scheme and a rooftop LED light bar.

Canoo’s pickup truck, meanwhile, is expected to be even more capable than the MPDV. It will have a larger capacity and offer more rugged capabilities. The company is currently testing a prototype with the United States Army and plans to roll it out in 2023. It will be equipped with carbon Kevlar for protection and stealth configurations, as well as a raised suspension and 32-inch all-terrain tires.

0 to 60 mph

EV startup Canoo has a number of vehicles in the works, including an electric pickup truck and delivery van. The company also has a deal with NASA to build crew transportation vehicles for the agency’s upcoming Artemis lunar explorations by 2023. However, it’s not clear if Canoo can actually deliver on these plans. The firm, which was formerly known as Evelozcity, has already been losing money for several years. In fact, the company recently reported that it might run out of cash by summer 2022.

Canoo’s flagship vehicle is its Lifestyle Vehicle, a modular van that changes between a people carrier and cargo hauler. The vehicle has a battery-powered drivetrain and can cover 250 miles on a full charge. It can also be fitted with additional power outlets and storage compartments.

In addition to these features, the Lifestyle Vehicle has a sleek, futuristic design. Its rear lounge and cockpit seating areas can accommodate up to four people. There are also two seats in the front of the vehicle. The company also offers a premium version of the Lifestyle Vehicle with extra features, including a seven-seat arrangement and an air-purifying wellness package.

The company’s other vehicles, including the aforementioned electric pickup and delivery van, are more utilitarian in nature. The electric pickup has a bed that can be configured for work or play and a cargo area with fold-down work benches. It can also be fitted with a roof rack and tow hitch.

In terms of performance, the Canoo pickup is similar to other EV trucks on the market. It has a 200-plus mile range and can haul up to 1,800 pounds of cargo. It can also be equipped with a variety of work tools, including an extendable bed and power outlets.

Canoo’s pickup is one of a few upcoming EV trucks that will compete with traditional gasoline models. Others include the Rivian R1T and Bollinger B2. While these trucks are aimed at commercial customers, Canoo’s truck is designed to appeal to individual consumers. The company’s website shows a configurator that lets users create a custom Canoo Lifestyle Vehicle.

Fuel Economy

The 2023 Canoo Lifestyle Vehicle is a small electric truck that has loads of quirky features. It can fold out work surfaces and has a hidden exterior drawer, among other things. It also has a built-in bed extender, and it can be used as a camper. The truck is powered by an electric motor, and it has a cargo capacity of up to 1,800 pounds. Its range is around 200 miles.

The Canoo EV is available for preorder online, and it requires a $100 deposit. It isn’t in production yet, but Canoo says it could be ready by late 2022. The company has taken 17,500 preorders, which could be worth $750 million if they turn into actual sales, InsideEVs reports. The EV is expected to cost between $30,000 and $50,000.

Canoo’s cab-over truck has a unique driving position that maximizes visibility and function. Its huge windshield and numerous windows are designed to give the driver a panoramic view. It also has a secondary windshield underneath the main one to help with visibility in bad weather conditions. Safety features include 12 airbags and a redundant drive-by-wire system.

The LV is available in four different trims, including a two-seat Delivery version and the towing-capable Adventure model. Its cabin is cabin-forward to maximize interior space and provide exportable power on a compact footprint. Its smallest variant is the Delivery, which seats just two people in forward bucket seats. Cargo capacity behind the rear seat is up to 1,464 lbs.

There’s also the Premium and Adventure, which both have more seating room and cargo capacity. The LV is available in RWD and AWD, and it can be equipped with camper shells to double as a small RV. Its base model has a single motor and an estimated 250-mile range, while the higher-end models have twin motors and a maximum power output of 500 horsepower.

Canoo’s EV isn’t the only new electric pickup truck to hit the market this year. The startup Rivian is preparing to debut its all-new R1T pickup, and Tesla’s upcoming Cybertruck is expected to have more power than the Canoo EV. https://www.youtube.com/embed/70S7zV-8yTI
