The Best Luxury Electric Car 2024

Premium car brands haven’t let eco-technology stand in their way when it comes to luxurious EVs, from Jaguar and Rolls-Royce. Manufacturers don’t let battery power limit what they can offer their customers.

The 2023 Mercedes-EQB small electric SUV provides familiar upscale qualities with cutting-edge tech features and seating for seven, offering up to 279 miles of range.

Tesla Model S

The Tesla Model S is one of the most desirable electric cars on the market, boasting ample passenger and cargo space as well as being among the fastest cars in its class. Unfortunately, it also comes with a higher price tag than rival models.

The 2023 Tesla Model S is offered in various trim levels, beginning with the dual-motor Model S Performance at $88,490 and capable of traveling 405 miles on one charge; three-motor Plaid Model S models cost slightly more and include access to Tesla’s nationwide network of Supercharger fast charging stations.

Though not considered the most luxurious EV vehicle available today, Tesla Model S does offer an enjoyable driving experience with its comfortable cabin. Furthermore, it boasts a large trunk space and spacious rear seating which allow it to comfortably seat six passengers at one time. Finally, there is also its large panoramic sunroof for added ventilation.

The Tesla Model S is easily navigable and features a minimalist design for maximum ease of use, with only minor setbacks such as being only available with left-hand drive (a problem for drivers accustomed to right-hand drives). Furthermore, its steering wheel lacks physical switchgear but hopefully Tesla will offer regular steering wheels on some models soon enough! Furthermore, blind spot warning and lane keeping assist features are available too – something most traditional vehicles don’t offer!

BMW i

BMW only recently joined the world of electric vehicles, but has already made a lasting impression with their stunning and luxurious i models. Their first fully electric vehicle – the i8 – stands as an exotic symbol that combines power with cutting-edge innovation.

Its dynamic proportions combine an imposing front end and upright proportions for an engaging design, featuring blue accents to emphasize its electric drive. Inside is just as stylish, featuring the BMW Curved Display offering touch and voice control and ergonomic seats with oscillating seat base functions – not forgetting an attractive color scheme!

BMW’s i7 sedan provides drivers with all of the excitement of luxury sports car ownership without needing gas. Powered by an efficient electric motor that provides enough torque to propel this large sedan up to speed in less than 4 seconds, and can travel up to 30 miles on just electric power alone.

This electric vehicle stands out as one of the cheapest and best-performing on the market right now, with ample space for people and luggage, modern tech features and engaging performance. Ideal for families as its spacious rear seating can fit up to seven passengers comfortably; furthermore it comes equipped with BMW’s iDrive infotainment system which integrates easily into its central touchscreen to offer quick access to apps you use frequently.

Genesis GV60

With its launch of the Genesis GV60 SUV, Genesis enters a highly competitive segment that includes models such as Tesla Model Y, Polestar 2, and higher trim levels of BMW’s X4 and X6 SUVs. Genesis competes against these rivals with an attractive yet still instantly recognizable design; luxurious cabin space for five; quick acceleration; and good range.

Its striking exterior paint colors may not appeal to everyone, but its style stands out. Loaded with premium features ranging from its standard Bang & Olufsen audio system to two 12.3-inch screens connected as one piece for easy access of infotainment functions and driver assistance systems, the Lexus NX has made quite an impressionful statement with its unconventional appearance.

The 2023 GV60 comes in two trim levels. The Advanced features dual electric motors producing 314 horsepower and 446 pound-feet of torque – enough to propel you from zero to 60mph in about 3.7 seconds and achieve an estimated 248-mile range before needing recharged. Meanwhile, Performance adds 483 hp with its “Boost Mode”, offering additional adrenaline.

Both models boast an abundance of user-friendly tech and driver assistance features, such as smart cruise control, head-up display and 360-degree parking camera system. But one standout feature of the GV60’s Preview Electronic Control Suspension uses cameras and navigation to adjust for road surface conditions and anticipate speed bumps and other obstacles automatically.

Audi Q4 e-tron

The Audi Q4 e-tron is an economical choice for drivers seeking to reduce their carbon footprint in style. Though smaller and more compact than its Q5 SUV counterpart, its rear seats fold flat easily for ample cargo capacity when cargo needs arise. Plus, this luxury badged car features an extended battery range which should satisfy most trips taken.

The 2023 model year brings with it some updates for Audi’s e-tron, such as a single motor rear-wheel drive powertrain that delivers up to 265 miles of driving range and an 11.6 inch infotainment display with navigation features and S Line exterior styling on select trims equipped with 50 mile 50 EV quattro powertrains.

Drivers searching for an more cost-effective e-tron can opt for the rear-wheel drive 40 model, which offers similar driving range as its dual motor counterparts but only generates 201 horsepower. Furthermore, its charging times are among the best available; reaching 80% charge with just over three hours using a Level 2 charger is possible.

Inside, the Q4 e-tron features all of the hallmark Audi aesthetic. Its dash design boasts an eye-catching bold, faceted motif sure to draw stares, while the infotainment screen faces toward the driver and is framed by an angular metallic slash framed screen angled toward him or her and climate controls accessible with one glance.

Cadillac Lyriq

The Cadillac Lyriq is an all-electric five passenger midsize luxury crossover offering plenty of room and a comfortable ride for a reasonable price, even before taking into account a $7,500 federal tax credit. Its 102kWh battery delivers 308 miles of driving range in rear wheel drive mode (this compares well against rival EVs such as Audi e-tron and Sportback as well as BMW iX, Jaguar I-Pace, Genesis GV70 electric SUVs) although unlike these it lacks front storage due to motor/transmission being housed underfloor – unlike these others which offer storage in this way!

The Cadillac Lyriq boasts an elegant exterior design and luxuriously appointed cabin that makes a relaxing driving experience possible. Its stately nose features an eye-catching large crest shape from its internal combustion past; LED lights add a fun light show that illuminates its nameplate.

The Lyriq’s dashboard boasts a large, curved screen displaying gauges and leading into an intuitive touchscreen that both front occupants can reach. Cadillac’s CUE system of the 2010s was far less user-friendly; Lyriq features intuitive controls for its infotainment system as well as sideways-scanning intersection collision avoidance and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, plus one steering-wheel paddle controls regenerative braking to slow or stop without using its brake pedal.

Rivian R1S

The 2023 Rivian R1S is an innovative full-size electric SUV, boasting on- and off-road capabilities unmatched by rivals costing twice as much. Furthermore, this ride boasts comfort as well as many useful features such as built-in navigation and DC fast charging capability.

The R1S starts at $78,000 for its dual motor model equipped with a 105 kWh battery and 600 horsepower, and more expensively for quad motor EVs with 135-kWh batteries and 835 horsepower (more costly but still significantly more affordable than many luxury EVs).

Rivian’s powertrain boasts superior torque output to most competitors, enabling the R1S to achieve impressive zero-to-60 times of 4.5 seconds or less and tow 7,700 pounds with ease.

Rivian has provided the R1S with generous cargo space – 104 cubic feet to be exact – making it one of the more accommodating luxury vehicles on the market. Seating seven people comfortably, it also comes equipped with third-row folding option which increases capacity to 46.7 cubic feet. Driver assistance systems offered include pedestrian detection and AEB highway. Plus wireless OTA software updates!
